Welcome to Organic Lab. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from our online store. By accessing our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Organic Lab
Organic Lab is a South African skincare and personal-care brand offering botanical cleansing bars and related skincare products.
For purposes of these Terms, “Organic Lab”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the legal entity operating the Organic Lab online store.

2. Products
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, sizes, weights and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Because some of our products are handmade or contain natural and botanical ingredients, there may be slight variations in colour, appearance, texture, fragrance, shape and weight between batches. These variations do not necessarily indicate a defect.
Product images are for illustrative purposes and colours may also vary depending on your screen or device.
Ingredient formulations may occasionally change. Customers with allergies or sensitivities should review the ingredient information supplied with the physical product before use.

3. Skincare Information
Information provided on our website is intended for general informational and cosmetic purposes and does not constitute medical advice.
Results may vary between individuals. We do not guarantee that a product will produce a particular cosmetic result.
Where appropriate, customers should perform a patch test before using a new skincare product and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Any references to cleansing, exfoliating, brightening, purifying, radiance or similar benefits describe the intended cosmetic purpose of the product and should not be interpreted as claims to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

4. Orders
An order placed through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.
You will receive an electronic confirmation after placing an order. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example:
 

• a product is unavailable;

• an incorrect price or product description was displayed;

• payment cannot be verified;

• we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity; or

• we cannot fulfil the order for another legitimate reason.
   

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled products will be refunded.

5. Prices
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed during checkout before payment is completed.
We may change our prices at any time. Changes will not affect orders already accepted by us, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred and applicable law permits correction.

6. Payment
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.
Orders will generally only be processed once payment has been successfully authorised or received.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information.
Organic Lab does not directly store complete bank-card information where payments are processed through an independent payment service provider.

7. Delivery
We currently deliver to eligible addresses within South Africa, unless otherwise stated on our website.
Estimated delivery times displayed on the website are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
Delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, severe weather, strikes, public holidays, load-shedding-related disruptions, incorrect delivery information or other logistical events.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and contact information.
If an order is returned to us because incorrect information was provided or delivery could not reasonably be completed, additional delivery charges may apply before the parcel is resent.
Risk in the products passes in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.

8. Returns & Refunds
We want customers to be satisfied with their Organic Lab purchase.
Returns, refunds and exchanges are subject to our Returns & Refund Policy and applicable South African consumer legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit any rights that a consumer has under applicable South African law.
Because soaps and skincare products may constitute personal-use or hygiene products, return eligibility may differ once products have been opened, used or had their protective packaging or seals removed, except where a product is defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, or the consumer otherwise has a statutory right to return it.

9. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at [email address].
Please provide your order number and, where reasonably required, photographs showing the issue.
Where the product qualifies for a remedy under applicable law, Organic Lab will provide the appropriate repair, replacement, refund or other remedy required by law.
10. Promotions & Discount Codes
Promotional offers and discount codes may be subject to additional conditions communicated with the promotion.
Unless otherwise stated:

• discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;

• only one promotional code may be used per order;

• promotions are valid only during the stated promotional period; and

• discounts cannot ordinarily be applied retrospectively.

We reserve the right to cancel or correct promotions affected by genuine technical or pricing errors, subject to applicable consumer law.

11. Gift Cards
Where Organic Lab offers gift cards or electronic vouchers, any specific conditions and validity periods will be disclosed when the gift card is purchased.
Gift cards cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
12. Intellectual Property
The Organic Lab name, branding, logos, product names, label designs, photographs, graphics, website design, written content and other original material appearing on our website are owned by or licensed to Organic Lab, unless otherwise stated.
They may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, commercially exploited or used to create derivative works without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

13. Website Use
You agree not to use our website:

• for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

• to interfere with the website's operation or security;

• to introduce malicious software;

• to attempt unauthorised access to systems or customer information; or

• to copy or commercially exploit website content without permission.

We may restrict access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.

If you create an Organic Lab account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for providing accurate information.

Transactional communications relating to an order, payment, delivery or customer-service request are not considered ordinary promotional communications.

The version published on our website at the relevant time will apply, subject to any rights that have already accrued.
The date of the latest revision will appear at the top of this page.

21. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law and the jurisdiction of the appropriate South African courts or consumer dispute-resolution bodies.
